So Much To Celebrate!

   Talk about there not being enough hours in the day!
   How can we ever fit in today's celebrations?
   July 12th is, of course, "National Pecan Pie Day!"
   Bake or buy one. But make sure you have a
piece of Pecan Pie today!
   July 12th is also "Eat Your Jello Day." It's also
Bill Cosby's Birthday! Surprise,surprise!
   It's "International Town Criers Day."
   You know, those guys who used to go from street
to street sounding out the day's news.
   Perhaps you'll hear one yelling.."Hear Ye, Hear
Yea. Today is National Pecan Pie Day!"
    In all fairness it's sometimes observed on the
11th.
    July 12th is "Paper Bag Day." The paper bag
manufacturing machine was patented on July 12th.,
1859! But you probably already knew that!
   But wait! There's more!
   July 12th is "Different Colored Eyes Day!"
   It's a condition more common than you might
think! There are even a few celebrities, like Jane
Seymour and Dan Aykroyd, who have different
colored eyes. (Both have one brown eye and one
green eye!). I'm not exactly sure how one goes
about celebrating this "unique holiday."
   But, whether you're having Pecan Pie, getting
your paper bag bronzed, swimming in Jello,
sharing the news by shouting it out, or just
winking at someone with one of your eyes
(whatever the color), I'll be unable to join you.
   I'll be too busy celebrating a much bigger
July 12th.....my Grand daughter's 11th
Birthday!
