Holiday Hot Air!

  No! This is not a Blog about politics.
  But there is a similarity!
  I've noticed the holidays have become
filled with a lot of hot air! Well...maybe
not hot..............but air anyway!
   When I was growing up the typical
Christmas decorations usually consisted
of a wreath on the door, candles in the
window, and colored lights around the
house or trees in the yard.
    Over the last few years, however,
the holiday scene has been enlightened
by a host of characters, dressed for
Christmas, and filled with a steady rush
of forced air which bring them to and
above the height of most people passing by!
    Some of these Santas,snowmen, penguins
and the like are accompanied by Christmas
music AND the loud "whoosh" of the portable
compressors which provide the afore
mentioned air!
     The new trend has also provided
a whole new venue for various seasonal and
cartoon characters to make an appearance.
      Of course during the daytime most
of these dazzling displays are...well...
FLAT!
      They appear, somewhat like melted
snowmen, as puddles in front yards all
over our area! This can be a little
discouraging.
       But have no fear! As evening comes
most will spring to life.
       Unless, of course, they've sprung a leak!
