New Year's Noon!

   The cry of "Happy New Year" rang through the
rooms at my daughter's house yesterday. But they
were heard long before Midnight!
    For some of us staying up till 12 has become a
little more difficult each year. So, at my daughter's
suggestion, much of the family gathers during the
day on December 31st to celebrate New Year's Noon!
    You see 2014 actually arrives at other locations
well before it shows up in northeastern Pennsylvania.
So, we welcome the New Year as it shows up
elsewhere in the world.
    When it's Noon here, we're celebrating along
with the people in places like Jakarta, Indonesia!
We continue each hour while enjoying our own
family party complete with games, strange gadgets,
plenty of food and togetherness!
    We get five to six times the celebration, a lot more
sleep and none of the hangovers!
