  THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THEY USED TO!

    They don't make them like they used to. It's a phrase
 you hear quite often and you can apply it to almost
anything.
      I found that TV channel with a lot of westerns the
other day and after watching a couple of episodes I
realized that they can't make the m the way they used
to!
      There was a scene in Gunsmoke where an
obliviously bad man had words with Marshal Matt
Dillon. The marshal slugged the guy!
        If you depicted that today the story line would
have nothing to do with the how the bad guy gets
captured for some wrong doing. It would be about
Matt Dillon being charged with police, or in his  case,
Marshal Brutality!
          And how about Wyatt Earp?
           He didn't allow any guns in Tombstone!
And that was based on fact. Can you imagine what
the NRA would have to say about that program.
           Near as I can figure one of the only shows
that might survive in today's world would be
Maverick. Instead of a riverboat though they'd
probably have him in one of our fine casinos and
playing the lottery on the side!
            Most of those old shows just weren't
politically correct......just entertaining.
