OUT AN ABOUT!
People who follow my blog or
my Facebook posts know my wife and
I like to travel near and far. It's amazing
how many great attractions there are
in our own area. And even more
amazing that many people don't know
they're there. We found one with our
visit to Lakeland Orchards and Cidery
in Lackawanna County! My wife and
our 7-year-old grandson checked out
the place on Friday. It's a treasure!
Basically a farm, Lakeland Orchards
offers visitors a chance to pick their
own vegetables. You fride into the
fields and fill you sample bage with a
few of the vegetables you enjoy. That
alone would be worth the visit. But
wait! There's more! There's a Scrambler
amusement ride, a Merry-Go-Round,
a station where you can make huge
bubbles, a pen full of goats, a Ball
Crawl filled with corn, and too many
others to tell about them all! But
there's one other I don't want to leave
out! There is a Butterfly House where
you can enjoy the company of these
beautiful creatures. Lakeland is
about to open a brand new attraction.
A one point two mile train ride
through the orchards that will also
carry passengers to a holiday light
show. Friday marked our first visit
to Lakeland Orchards and Cidery.
It won't be our last! Hope you'll
