WHAT'S UP DOC?
I use that famous line from cartoon
start Bugs Bunny to introduce you to
April 4th., "International Carrot Day!"
It's been observed since 2003 with
actual celebrations in countries like
France, Italy, Russia, Japan, and of
cours right here in the United States.
80% of the carrots you buy here in the
U.S. come from California. Carrots are
somewhat unique among vegetables in
that they are one of the few varieties
harvested primarily for their root
rather than their sprout. Although, the
sprout is eatable as well! One of their
great qualities beyond nutrition is their
great shelf life when kept in the
fridge! We've always got some carrots
around here! My wife most really
\love them. She keeps asking me for
more! 20 Karats specifically!!!
Hope you're enjoying your carrots
and that all your NEWS is good!
