THE PIZZA KING PART II
Yesterday I told you about my brother-in-
law's constant lust for pizza when he visits
northeastern Pennsylvania from his home
in California.
A week's visit "back home" in these
parts would equate to about seven different
pizzas from as many pizza parlors.
So. How much does he really crave
pizza? I'm glad you asked!
In preparation for his flight back to the
west coast he first visited an area Goodwill
store where he secured an average size
suitcase for about $5.00.
While feasting on pizza in Old Forge
Monday evening he ordered a half baked
pie. With extra cheese!
The idea, of course, is to take the pie
home and finish the baking process at
about 350 degrees for a set amount of time
But Leo's home is in California!
Remember the suitcase?
Yep! Upon returning to my daughter's
house where he spent his final night we
watched as he wrapped his half baked
pizza in wax paper, returned it to its box,
and placed it inside the suitcase with a few
empty boxes holding it as firmly as possible
in place. You can't make up stories like
this!
Of course the pizza box didn't quite
take up all the available space in the
satchel so Leo "killed two birds with one
stone" by packing his clothes (that should
probably read "laundry) around the box.
By now Leo is home, removing his
socks, shirts and "whatever" from the
suitcase and digging out his extra cheese
pizza for dinner!
It's likely he'll donate the suitcase to
a Goodwill store out there where some
unsuspecting buyer will wonder why his
"bargain bag" has an aroma of socks and
oregano!
Hope his pizza made it through security
and that all your NEWS is good!
