MEETING AT THE MALL!

    SUNDAY, APRIL 9TH., 2017
     MEETING AT THE MALL!

   Malls may be in trouble. But you'd
never know it when we met at the
Marketplace At Steamtown (formally
know as the Steamtown Mall) Friday
evening.
    We were there for a Fashion show
produced for Cinderella's Closet which
provides new and once worn prom gowns
for students at just ten bucks!!
     But after the models walked the Red
Carpet on the second floor I noticed the
sound of music coming from an area
just below.
     I noticed two impressive sights as
I looked over the railing. First, local
merchants selling everything from
Easter eggs to all sorts of arts and crafts.
       Second, a large number of customers
enjoying the entertainment and the wares
up for sale!
        Turns out it was part of the city's
First Friday celebration. The Marketplace
provided the perfect space, and climate,
for the event. And both customers and
merchants gave the event an "A."
        I'm sure man would like to see it
return long before the next First Friday
comes along.
