IT'S A WONDERFUL.......TREAT!

         IT'S A WONDERFUL.....TREAT!

    No matter how many times you may have
seen it Frank Capra's "It's A Wonderful Life"
is a treat to watch.
     It's an extra treat when it's on a big screen,
you get popcorn, soda, and cookies with your
admission, and that admission is free!
     My wife and I enjoyed those treats
yesterday at the Dietrich Theater in
Tunkhannock for the first of three screenings
of the classic.
     It's an annual Christmas time tradition
at the Dietrich which serves as Wyoming
County's Cultural and Arts Center.
     Of course "free" is a bit of a misnomer.
Somebody has to pay for all those treats and,
in this case, it was the Ace-Robbins Hardware
Store in Tunkhannock. Sponsors like that
allow the theater to present several free
shows each year. "A Wonderful Life"
always packs the place.
      Everyone in the audience also received
a Christmas stocking cap to add to the
Holiday feeling. The whole event has a
real taste of community coming together
to celebrate. And how great to hear
audience applause as the movie ended!
      No doubt about it. "It's A Wonderful
;Life" remains a wonderful treat!
