SATURDAY, JANUARY 9th, 2021
TAKING DOWN CHRISTMAS!
Tough day around my house. The
process of taking down our Christmas
decorations and lights has begun. I
insist we wait until after Russian/Orthodox
Christmas each year but since it's over
and my grandson and granddaughter were
available to help the take down has been
started. The packing boxes have been
moved from the shed to the porch. Jesus,
Mary, and Joseph. their outside statues
that is, have been moved from their bed
of straw and our inside nativity set has
been safely repacked. The outside lights
will be the next project as they'll have to
be unwrapped from the trees and bushes
where they've been strung. I tries to convince
my wife to wait till the last of the Christmas
related holidays. That's Candle-mass, Jesus'
presentation in the Temple, which is set for
February 2nd. She wouldn't go for it, especially
since that date is also Groundhog Day! Hope
