It's Sure Quiet Around Here!

 There's a line in the song "It's
Beginning to look a lot like Christmas"
that suggests "Mom and Dads can hardly
wait for school to start again."
   Well their wait is over!
   Most area schools resumed classes
today after a Christmas break that began
about a month ago. OK. Maybe it only
seems like a month.
    It's a little different for the kids. To
them classes closed the day before
yesterday! Time does fly when you've
got a ton of presents to play with!
    My grandson began an intensive
interrogation of his Mom while we
were returning from our last Christmas
ice cream stop to determine when he might
look forward to another break from classes.
He is now, I'm sure, a fan of the late
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.!
    I can't blame him. He probably
takes after me. I never understood
why they dropped recess after Grade
School!
    Anyway the kids are back to the
books today and Mothers everywhere
are trying to reclaim that area once
know as the Living room floor while
offering a small prayer they won't
hear the term "Snow Day" anytime
soon!
