ROAD TRIP!
My wife and I love to jump in the
car, especially the Miata with the top down
on a nice day, and set out with no particular
plan in mind to see what there is to see. On
Tuesday that drive ended up in the Sunbury
area where we re-discovered Shikellamy
State Park. The park is literally set up on
land flanked by both the north and west
branch of the Susquehanna river. Some time
back somebody got the idea to build an
inflatable dam in the river. When it's inflated,
as it is each summer. a hugh body of water
dubbed "Lake Agusta" is created on the river
making it an ideal place for boating and
fishing. The park itself oferes picnic and
playgrounds and boat rentals are available
for those who are interested. It's a reminder
that you don't have to travel all that far to
find recreational treasures. There are
probably some very close to where you live!
All you've got to do is look for the, then
go and use them! A road trip!!! Hope you
