SEE SPOT RUN!
It's May 5th everybody. It's
the first day of "Children's Book
Week!" It is an observance that
traces its roots to 1913 when
the Librarian for the Boy Scouts
of America began a campaign to
get books to kids. In 1919 it became
an official "unofficial holiday." The
campaign seeks to get more kids
and their parents interested in reading
uniting them with books and the authors
that write them. I'm partial to that concept!
I've written a number of stories for kids
based on a character I call "Prince Claud."
Last year my wife and a granddaughter
actually took my first story and published
a hard copy with illistrations by another
of my granddaughters. Of course there's
only two copies and I have both. I've
aways loved kids stories. I even love
reading them because they're
usually so simple even I can
understand them! Hope you're
celebrating by reading to your kids
or grandkids and that all your
NEWS is good!
