A SWEEPING CHANGE!
June 8th is a big day in household
history! This is the day that the
Whirlwind hit the United States.
Not a trnado or a dust storm! This
is the day that Ives Gaffey patened
his new invention...the vacumn cleaner!
Up until Gaffey's invention the ony way
to clean your floor was by usuing a broom.
Of course you might say his invention
wasn't a heck of a lot better. You had to
push it along and turn a handle while you
do so. The handle you were turning
provided the vacumn that sucked up the
dust. Ives didn't exactly clean up with
his new invention. That might have been
because the steep price tag! The Whirlwind
sold for 25 dollars! Hope your home is
neat and clean and that all your NEWS
is good!
