BEACH OF DREAMS!
We are back from our annual family
vacation in Wildwood, NJ. But just before
we left I saw something I'd never seen
there before! You expect to see certain
things at the shore! Kids digging in the
sand. Flying kites! Buiding sand castles.
Maybe ever some Volletball! But this
year I saw something new. At least new
to be! Beach Baseball brought little
league kids from all over the country to
Wildwood for major tournmernt! Of course
playing basball on the beach takes a lot of
special maintenance. Watering the "field"
as oftrn as possible. Rolling the surface and
painting base and fould lines in the sand!To the
kids, of course, tjey are "Fields Of Dreams"
as theyh compete for national recongintion!
It give a while new meaning to the term "Sand
Lot Baseball." Congratulations to all the
players! Hope all your NEWS is good!
