          ROLLING IN DOUGH!

    Just what you needed! An excuse to
pig out on doughnuts!
    Yep! It's "Fat Tuesday!"
    Doughnut sales go through the roof
today as people indulge in pastries and
the like to get their fill before the
beginning of lent.
      It is the custom of many Christians
to give up something for lent and
sweet treats are often at the top of the
sacrifice list!
       I still favor the tradition of one
of our former pastors who used to
encourage members of his congregation
to take on rather than give up something
for lent.
       Perhaps donating some time to a
local charity or lending assistance to
a neighbor who could use a hand.
       But whether you're giving up or
taking on feel free to enjoy "Fat Tuesday."
You'll certainly have the bakers rolling
in dough!
       Hope there's a Jelly doughnut in
there somewhere and that all your
NEWS is good!
