FLYING HIGH!
May 21st is a big day in aviation!
On May 21st of 1927 Charles Lindbergh
made the first solo transatlantic flight
landing in France. Just a few years later,
on this same date in 1952 Amelia Earhart
made the first solo female transatlantic
flight. She landed in Ireland. And of course
on May 21st of 2011 we were all suppose to
take flight! That's the day Christian radio
broadcaster Harold Camping said the world
was going to end! I even hesitated writing
my blog that day. Camping, of course, was
wrong. He had predicted several "world end
days" over the years. The closest he actually
came was December 15th of 2013. That's the
day he died. Thankfully were still "grounded"
as far as those kind of predictions go! Still.
