MAKING LIVES BETTER!
On this Memorial Day we are all
encouraged to remember those who
gave their all so that all our lives would
be better enjoying freedom. There are a
few inventions that came along on the
31st of May that were designed to make
our lives better too! In 1884, for instance,
Dr. John Kellog came up with the idea for
flaked cereal. These days you'll find all
kinds of flaked cereals! In 1893 Whitcome
Judgson came up with the idea of a hook less
fastener. We call them zippers! And in 1870
E.J. de Smedt unveiled his invention called
asphalt! Many of our roads are made up of
asphalt, occasionally broken up around this
neck of the woods by pot holes!!! Hope you
