LEAVE THE LEAVES?

            LEAVING THE LEAVES?

   Even with Tuesday's clouds and light

drizzle the fall colors around our area were

fantastic! While there's a technical reason why

the leaves change color, I prefer to remember

the old native American story that tells us some

Indians were hunting and wounded a bear. The

bear jumped into the sky and they say his

blood drips down every year around this time

coloring the leaves!   I for one would like to see

the colored leaves stick around longer! It's good

for the morale and for Pennsylvania's tourism

industry! I one had an idea to send a crop duster

place up filled with hair spray to preserve the

colors a little longer. Somebody suggested

it might be a bad thing for the environment

so I have up the idea. We'll just have to enjoy

them when we can. Hope that's what you're
