A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING!

   WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3RD., 2019
    A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHNG!

My wife and I were back at the auction
Tuesday. It's become a very entertaining
event.
As noted in my blog earlier this week
you never know exactly what you're going
to find there or how much whatever you
find is going to sell for.
My wife happen to see a tall floor lamp.
She's been looking for one ever since our
old living room lamp began leaning like
the Tower of Pizza. She liked it so the
bidding began. Since it wasn't the hottest
item in the shop she was able to out bid
her only opponent and get the lamp for
under $20! By the way it works and out
living room is now as bring as Times
Square!
There were a number of fur coats
up for bid Tuesday. I'm old enough to
remember when women were on top
of the world if they received a fur coat
as a gift, And it seems to me they could
go for a lot more than the hundred bucks
they brought in at the auction!
I noticed a pattern as various items
were offered, The auctioneer would
toss out some hefty price then reduce
it by about half each call until she got
down to five bucks. That's when the
bidding actually started. It would
usually go up by about five dollars
at a time till all but one bidder drops
out.
      Now and then, however, there's
an item that doesn't sell. In that case
it's usually held over till the following
week.
I bring this to your attention so
you'll know you still have a chance
to grab the dentist's chair, drill, and
attachments that went on sold
Tuesday.
Imagine the fun you can have
with you're new "hobby!"
      Hope you'll join the bidding
and that all your NEWS is good!
