TIMBER!!!!!

   WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 29TH., 2017
                         TIMBER!!!

      See the tree, how big it's grown! But friends
it hasn't been too long it wasn't big.
       Unlike the classic song Honey, my wife,
didn't plant this tree or this group of trees. They
just sort of popped up out of the ground while
we weren't really watching and began to grow.
And grow. And grow!
        It was kind of neat to watch out the bedroom
window as they swayed in the breeze. Earlier
this year, however, we realized they were
swaying enough to scrap the roof.
       With that came the realization that were
they to snap their "landing pad" would be on
top of our house!
        My wife also realized the thought of me
trying to do anything about bringing those
trees down was far more frightening than
having all of them crash on our heads!
        Fortunately a local "handy man"
surveyed the situation for us a couple days
ago and promised to get back to us.
         On Tuesday morning he showed up
with chain saw in hand to tackle the task!
         I'm sure a few birds and at least one
Squirrel will be displeased with the results.
But we'll sleep a little sounder when those
strong winds come blowing around these
parts!
