DON'T FORGET YOUR RETURN ADDRESS!

DON'T FORGET YOUR RETURN ADDRESS!

December 7th is most remembered as Pearl
Harbor Day.
It is also Cotton Candy Day, International
Civil Aviation Day, and one other that may soon
be lost to us.
   It's National Letter Writing Day!
Few people write letters anymore. That
tradition, for the most part, has been replaced
by emails, social media messages, and
telephone texts. Cursive writing has already
been eliminated in some school districts.
    There are a couple exceptions.
My old friend Bob not only writes letters
but makes sure he uses every bit of available
space on the paper.
The other exception, and it's a big one.
 is kids writing to Santa!
Yep! Santa still gets letters! Tons of them.
My grandson sent one in just yesterday,
He's only 4 so I helped him with the writing.
If Santa knows that he may give more
consideration to my gift list!
I suppose that's the perfect way to observe
this unusual "holiday."
     Practice your cursive handwriting and
include a few things you might just want
for Christmas. It's a win/win all around!
     Don't forget your return address!
Hope all your NEWS is good!
