PLAN "B"

   THURSDAY, JULY 26TH., 2018
                 PLAN "B"

       If you're heading to the shore
for your vacation it's a pretty good bet
you daily plans include a day at the beach
or at your motel swimming pool.
      But into each life, and vacation, a
little rain must fall. That's when you go
to "Plan B."
      The light rain that fell in and around
Wildwood Wednesday pretty much
ruled out a day in the water. Why jump
in to a wave when you're getting wet
without any effort at all.
       Our 'Plan B" included a drive to
a regional movie complex. We were
nearly there when I suddenly remembered
why all the movie theaters that used to be
on the boardwalk had closed years ago.
        You see on sunny days nobody
bothered t go to the movies so the
theaters were usually just about empty.
         On rainy days, however, you
couldn't find a seat in the place. People
flocked to the cinema to escape the rain!
          Apparently that scenario hasn't
changed. As our car was about to pull
into the theater complex others in our
gang were trying to call ahead for seats
only to find the day's attractions were
already sold out!
          So, as I write, our delegartion
has instituted "Plan C."
          Some have gone to the nearest
ice cream parlor while others have
invaded a nearby Book store.
           My nearly 3-year-old grandson
and I have taken still another step and
moved on immediately to "Plan D."
            We are taking a nap!
