"We'll remember always..Graduation DayS!"

My Grandson graduated last evening. It was his
second graduation. But he doesn't have a Master's
Degree. Or a B.A. Not even an Associate Degree!
You see his graduation was from 8th grade!
His first Graduation ceremony was from
Kindergarten!
Things have changed a lot since I was in school!
They didn't even offer Kindergarten in my home
district when I  would have been old enough for it.
The first I knew anything about it was when I
was in 6th grade and was on the Safety Patrol.
I was assigned to the door where the
Kindergarten kids went in.
As far as 8th Grade was concerned, it was
only year two in my Junior High School so you
didn't have any Graduation ceremonies.
My only Graduation came at the end of
High School and our class wasn't nearly as
close as my Grandson's 8th  Grade group.
Of course there were some 450 in my
class. He had 23 in his!
I'm extremely proud of my Grandson!
He's an Honor r student and won a special
award 'Service Award" from his school,
Wilkes-Barre Academy.
Some say he doesn't take after me
academically. But I had an "A" one time!
You get to turn the tassel on your
cap when you graduate. That's probably
why they start with a ceremony in
Kindergarten. The cap has four sides
and you'll use each as you go from
Kindergarten, to 8th Grade, to High School,
then College.
Right there's a demonstration of my math
skills!
Hat (or Caps) off to my daughter too.
She was probably the most popular
Teacher/Mom in attendance as she provided
enough tissues to soak up a lake's worth of
water!
As for my Grandson's 8th Grade class
they might just as well be nicknamed
"Allstate" because the future really is in
"good hands" where these 23 students are
concerned!
Good luck to all the "Classes of 2012"
and may all your NEWS be good!
