Monday Night Football!

Today's Blog has nothing to do with
the contest between the Ravens and
Cincinnati this week.
It;s actually a sort of medical essay
based on personal observations at a
scholastic game played in Wilkes-
Barre after a rain cancellation on
Friday night!
  I am not a doctor.
But if you or anyone you know has a
problem with Low Blood Pressure I
believe I have the cure!
Have that person's son or grandson
join a High School Football Team.
Then, and this is key, have the
patient go to watch a game!
My wife and I did exactly that this
past Monday night.
Had I stopped in Walmart right
after that contest I probably could
have blown out every circuit in the
store's Blood Pressure Testing
machine!
Our grandson wasn't even in the
game. He's just a Freshman. Even if
he was eligible he's dealing with an
injured hand.
But he was there to support the
Varsity and we were there to support
him and his team!
It was a close game! Too close!
The team we were cheering for had
lost every game for the past two seasons.
But, with just 19 seconds left to play,
our team in the lead....by just 5 points!
The opponents had the ball just
yards from the goal line...and a
touchdown would give them the game!
  They passed.....and we intercepted!
  The crowd, us included, screamed
our heads off as our team raced the
length of the field to score the final
touchdown with one second left on
the clock!
I can assure you ..... Low Blood
Pressure was not a problem for anyone
watching that field over those last 19
seconds!
I'm just glad no one had a heart
attack!
You've got to wonder if the players
realize how much those who sit and
watch "give" to the game!
It could be measured in lifespan!!!!
Hope you're not "Off Sides" and that
all your NEWS is good!
