Anxious Shoppers!

It must be a good sign for our economy!
We had to do some grocery shopping yesterday and
found our local Walmart jammed with people!
Apparently the place has been busy since its
controversial opening on Thanksgiving day!
I went by that morning on  my way to walk just to see
if anybody was really coming out on the holiday.
Not only were there people there at 8am (some 12
hours ahead of sale time), but they were apparently
very anxious to get in!
In fact some tractor trailer driver was so anxious to
shop ... he ignored one of the dozen or so large
yellow poles and warning signs and nearly took down
the very structure designed to keep large trucks out
of the parking lot!
You might not think keeping trucks out is all that
important.
But when trucks are parked all over the place there's
much less space for those empty shopping carts that
are left behind by shoppers after they've loaded their
packages into their cars!
Of course there are specific storage spots for the
carts. But, it seems, 30 to 40% of shoppers seem to think
the carts go into the same spots as the cars once the
vehicles are gone.
Walmart's lot seems a perfect place to test student
drivers!
You could send them in with a challenge to find
the closest parking spot to the entrance doors and see
if he or she can avoid people and shopping carts
while finding it.
Penndot may want to move its Driver's License
Center there!
Hope you can find a spot too and that all your
NEWS is good!
