SWING TIME!

               SWING TIME!

    Before you all run out and get your
dancing shoes on I should tell you my
essay is about the kind of swings your
kids (or grandkids) ride while you
push!
     When our mobile home development
was set up well over 50 years ago the
owners wisely included a playground
for the kids to enjoy.
      Our kids played there rom time to
time and we even celebrated a birthday
or two there.
      Unfortunately the years have taken
a toll on the equipment and the facility
really needs some TLC!
      Margi, one of our caring neighborhood
residents decided it was time to do something
so she launched a grass roots effort to see
what could be done.
       One Saturday a flea market complete
with food and prize baskets was organized
to begin to raise some seed money for the
playground. The current park owner has
promised to match profits dollar for dollar!
        It's a start but one especially worthy
because of its cause and community
involvement.
        Hope it starts the wheels rolling and
that all your NEWS is good.
