Strawberry Fields Forever?

Well the truth has finally come out!
We searched and searched for one of those
"Pick Your Own" Strawberry patches that
yielded so many quarts during our visit to
 Florida last year.
There were none to be found. Or, rather,
there were none that we found.
The field we visited last season might
have had a good crop. But the sign on the
entrance started with the word "Sorry" and
ended with a suggestion that we "check back
 later in the month."
Since we would not be around later in the
month we settled on a popular Farm Market
 that specializes in strawberries.
Most are shipped to markets somewhere.
But a substantial number are used at the
market's snack stand where they are
liberally dumped upon ice cream sundaes!
Since I've been watching my weight I
watched as my wife and sister-in-law
consumed two of the caloric giants. One
 each that is!
A field just yards away from our table was
loaded with the bright red berries. But a
"No Trespassing sign" served as a hint that
picking was not allowed. Remember, I'm a
 trained observer!
And no matter what you've heard from the
Beatles, a sign on the Marker alerted all
that the establishment would be "Closed for
 the season on March 23rd!"
So, in fact, it's Strawberry Fields For
 just over a week!.
And, just as we packed up to begin the
next leg of our journey a neighbor stopped
by with some strawberries he had gathered
from a "Pick Your Own Strawberry" patch
 somewhere near by! Oh well!
Hope you've got all the toppings you
need and that all your NEWS is good!
