A View From The ER

It almost seems as though my wife and I have
become "Secret Shoppers"....for medical care!
Over the past two years or so we have found
ourselves in Hospital Emergency Rooms from
Wilkes-Barre to Hershey.
My wife is the latest victim....ah....patient.
Faced with a couple of health problems one
of her doctors ordered her into the Emergency
Room at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital
yesterday.
I say "one of her doctors" because she and
I have accumulated a small staff of physicians
to handle specific types of health issues. She has
more than I.
Visiting an Emergency Room is a lot like being
on a Quiz Show! You, of course, are the
contestant. And you'll be expected to answer
a battery of questions relating to the reason for
your visit and your entire medical history from
birth to current moment. Get them right and
you win admission! I'm not sure what happens
if you get the answers wrong.
I totally understand any inquiry relating to
why you're there. I do have a few questions of
my own about the need to remember everything in
your, and your family's, medical history since
(A) you'll probably be asked at least three times
by three separate individuals and (B) all of the
ER's we've visited already have , or should have,
these details on their computers.
    I'm don't think they share!
Anyhow my wife must have answered all
the questions because she was admitted.
Now it's their turn to come up with the
right answers!
Hope they do and that all your NEWS is
good!
