A MELTING POT!

            A MELTING POT!

    I've heard the United States described as
"a Melting Pot" many times. But Montreal
proves there's a second burner on that stove
and it's here in Canada!
     Our Travelworld tour group took an
escorted trip in and around the city Saturday.
I heard a whole lot of different languages
being spoken as we went along our way.
      In fact English is the 2nd most popular
language here. French is first and Spanish
is third with Chinese catching up pretty
quickly!
      Our guide told us the city, in fact the
area, goes out of its way to encourage
people from all ethnic backgrounds to live,
work, and play together. No walls here!
       We spent part of our day in "Old
Montreal," some in the city's very large
"Chinatown,", and enjoyed a wonderful
tour of Saint Joseph's Oratory from which
you can see this wonderful city. There's
a real feeling of togetherness around here.
