RIGHT ON TIME!

   SUNDAY, JANUARY 19TH., 2020
               RIGHT ON TIME!

January 19th is "World Snow Day"
and we got some right on time!
All the newscasts lead with snow
related stories, some local, some
national.
      Penndot lowered the speed limits
on the interstates as the storm moved
in which, apparently, made the thousands
of people headed for regional ski slopes
get there a little later than expected.
Yet they came!
And, somehow, kids made it to
Wilkes-Barre's "Fun Day" at Kirby park
to try their sleds on the steep levee slopes.
      In Scranton Kayakers floated down
the Lackawanna as part of the annual
"Shiverfest celebration."
In Moosic, folks were lined up filling
out job applications for this year's Rail
Riders Baseball season! See! We're
already getting ready for the "boys of
summer!"
Temps were low, That's what they tell
me anyway, It was pretty warm inside the
house!
My wife and I found ourselves
trapped at home. No. The snow wasn't
that deep. But we already had a good
supply of bread and milk so there was no
reason to go anywhere.
We also had a large pork roast, some
apple cider with which to top it, a few onions,
carrots, and potatoes. Half a day on the oven
and we enjoyed a feast!
           Netflix provided the entertainment.
I suspect, after church today, we'll
enjoy some left overs. Like the oven we'll
pre-heat the car, dawn our winter jackets
and hats and enjoy the scenery!
Not a bad weekend after all!
Hope yours, and all your NEWS,
is good!
