Some Technical Questions

     SATURDAY, MAY 2ND.

   I've always favored educational
efforts to encourage some students
to look into technical occupations!
Not all students are cut out to be
scientists or brain surgeons.
We need people who can fix cars
and repair the scanners on which
those scientists and brain surgeons
depend.
   The Wilkes-Barre Career Technology
Center is not far from my house. It use
to be called a "Vo-Tech School." But
somewhere along the line somebody
decided it needed a new name. I
still call it the "Vo-Tech."
It's an impressive facility. But I'm
just a little bit concerned.
For well over a month now the
electronic sign that displays the time,
the temperature, and information
about school, events, has been dark.
I understand that devices like this
can malfunction from time to time.
But at a Career Technology Center?
   Aren't there any electronic courses?
   Shouldn't students be learning how
signs like that work and how to fix
them if they break down?
   Shouldn't somebody be checking
to see if the circuit breaker tripped
or a fuse blew out? Surely all of the
blubs could not have burned out at
the same time.
I'd like to know just how cold it
is on campus! And what time it is.
And when Graduation will be held.
And if any electronics students are
in the graduating class.
    Hope it's plugged in........and that
all your NEWS is good!
